Mrs. Swan's class observed and studied how worms move and adapt to their environment for their Web of Life unit in Science. Students were able to handle the worms, and put them on paper plates with a small black piece of paper and a partially wet paper towel to see if the worms preferred a dry environment or moist environment. They also observed if the worms preferred a dark or light environment. This tied into the Web of Life Unit for Mystery Science and discussion
of if worms eat dirt since they are considered decomposers.
