My name is Ashley Sanders and I am the Grade School Physical Education teacher for grades K-5. This is my first year in this position and I am loving every minute of it. A little background information about me is that I was born and raised a Triopia Trojan. I grew up in Chapin and have been a part of this co-op since it has started. In fact, my freshman year was the first year of the girls basketball co-op. I graduated from Triopia in 2007. I then went to Spoon River College to play basketball and softball. I continued my education at UIS where I played softball and graduated with a bachelor's in psychology. For the last 7.5 years, I worked as a counselor for children with behavioral issues. So, not only am I the Grade School PE teacher here, I also do some counseling with the students. Additionally, I coach jr. high and high school softball and basketball as part of the Meredosia/Triopia/Virginia co-op. I am looking forward to getting to know each and every student!
